strings

I have seen a lot of pretty string quilts, lately and was inspired to have a try at it... The plan is to use dark blue sashing. These are 9" blocks pieced on muslin foundation. They are fun to make, and there are so many different ways to play with color. This palette is narrowed down to blue, purple, yellow and orange (again - just love this combo).

Happy sewing ...

These are pretty -- I'm getting ready to start some string log cabin blocks and will probably use just blue and beige.

I've done a couple in the pattern you're doing and they are so addictive. I havent put a dent in my scrap bags yet either. Great way to utilize EVERYTHING. lol
BTW, I love your adorable banner.
