I used some off-white fleece for the back, also replacing the batting. This had been in my stash for a couple of years, after being recommended to me by an experienced quilter.
This 48" * 60" quilt is my warmest yet, thanks to the fleece backing. It will be a seasonal lap quilt to warm my body and soul, thinking about the friendly community of bloggers who both are generous enough to host and participate in a swap. So, I guess I have to put this one under the tree for me?
The quilting is just not-so-straight lines 1" - 1.5" apart:

Nydelig teppe!
I just decided I need a seasonal lap quilt too. I like the idea of the fleece, but was it difficult to quilt? It looks good, so cheerful, too. Good job! Karmen
So beautiful, Marit! The quilts with fleece backings are the most popular ones around my house; so soft, warm and cuddly. It's definately the perfect gift for yourself, wrapped up or not:-)
Wow, Marit! That quilt is so bright and cheerful. I just finished several charity quilts with fleece backings and I, too, liked the snuggly factor.
Hei!! Den ble kjempefin!! Jeg har aldri prøvd flees på baksiden, men det er sikkert lurt til slumretepper. Fin lukkekant også!! AnneK:-)
gorgeous quilt! i love the layout!
what an amazing idea to use fleece....that is brilliant.
I love this quilt and I love not-so-straight qulting lines. That is how I do a lot of mine. This makes me want to pull out a lot my older red and green prints and mix them with some new ones.
It's darling! And looks so warm and cozy.
wonderful, Marit!!!! How was the quilting with the fleece? Did it move around much?
