Finished County Fair

Thank you all for giving me some good ideas on how to quilt this one! In the end I went for vertical straight lines. Lots of them...

The quilt is around 40" by 60", maschine quilted with cotton batting. Looking through my stash, I found this 30's flowery pink backing, and I think it really complements the top.

Wish I had better light for this picture...

One morning we woke up to a lot of snow. It's quite special to see snow resting on branches like this around here. Very peaceful, love it!

Another somebody resting peacefully. She's been on antibiotics since before christmas, and needs her rest to recover...
Wish you all a peaceful wekend, either you are busy og just taking it easy - take care!

Country Fair

Friday evening I got an idea on what to do with my second panel from my previous post. Saturday afternoon I got to work, and by the evening I had finished the top. It will be a wallhanging next to the tv.
Easy and fun sewing; just liberating these wonky log cabins a bit and adding a bit of black. I think I like it...

Any ideas on how to quilt it?

twin bags

still a bit of snow today ...
I used Denyse Schmidt's Country Fair "cheathercloth" from Pink Chalk Studio to make these two bags. I added 100% pure linen, cotton fabric for lining. They are quilted, and have two good pockets inside, one of them perfect for a cell phone.
I might give them away as gifts. I might keep them for myself. Hmmmm.

swap received

These pretty fabrics arrived yesterday from Andi in Australia. She chose two fat quarters with lovely turquise colors, and generously added three big pieces of Prints Charming designs. There is also included lots of red ric-rac and a very pretty card. I am one lucky swapper! ; ) Thank you Andi!!! And thank you Katy for setting up this swap!
