scrap buster

I have to confess: I love colors, and save up all my colorful scraps. Even the small ones. Ever since I saw this lovely, it has been on my list of "have to try".

First: I started up using all the bits that's really saturated with color. Adding all my scraps of Kona Snow.

Second: what if I use scraps with a lot of white?

And third: what if I make some pairs?

And what if i try the medallion layout ... binding it all together?

I am liking it! My scrap buster is wiping out my scrap bin....

I bet this was fun and liberating to just do a free form design. I think it's color that drives all of us quilters! Great job.

I love it. Put together like that it looks less like a quilt and more like a beautiful mosiac wall.
PS. love your profile picture. That is a great haircut!

Lovely, just what I like to do too!
A sort of "free way" of making quilts.

I'm so happy you like my quilt! The quilt is about 110x110cm. I like to sew houses and bright happy colors!

I too love the white background. It's very fresh and makes the colours sing. Might have to dive into my scraps as well ;)

I love seeing where you're going with this. The process shots are great- I don't do that often enough.
