or this one?
Just a little warning. I was going to try out my new toy the baby Go cutter. With one of my favorites, the tumbler dye. Just a few patches, just giving it a test run. Have to say it's hard to stop!
Once you have cut your patches, they are easy to sew together. I have ironed mine for the traditional layout. Now I have second thoughts.
I might have to make both?
; )

oh, that's a hard one. I'm liking the 2nd one with the red lanterns a bit more. good luck!
I like the first one best, red is balanced out more
I'm loving the non traditional one; but, then I have always loved things that are traditional with a twist. :-D
the traditional layout looks beautiful
I would go for random. The first one looks more random to me. The fabrics already make it less traditional.
I love the first one...lots of movement with the reds scattered. Both are very nice, but my pick would be the less traditional....great job Marit....have fun!
I like all of them!! just cut more tumblers and do one in each layout,(hehe) the tumbler die is very addictive..
My vote is for the traditional. It's most entertaining to my eye. But both are great. You've got a wonderful mix of fabrics there.
I made a large tumbler quilt for Christmas for my DIL in the traditional pattern. I love that pattern. So simple but so beautiful. I now have the baby tumbler and can't wait to try that out too.
I go traditional but I do like both. How do you find the baby cutter, is it easy to use? I need to avoid arm/hand strain- would you mind letting me know how you found it?
I love the first layout with alternating the reds better. Both are great though!
I think it depends how much you like red. With the fun version, the red starts to overwhelm the other fabrics. In the traditional version no single color completely grabs the attention. So while I liked the fun version at first, after a bit longer, I liked the traditional the best.
Totally loving the one where the red isn't lined up. I wasn't a fan of the tumbler quilt...and had I seen it in that layout first I probably still wouldn't be a fan. Just my opinion but I like it with the red spaced out a little and now I totally wouldn't mind trying one. ;)
**Sorry deleted my first comment b/c I think I confused the traditional layout with the fun one so I just decided to describe the one I didn't like as much...lol**
First one!
Love them both!!!
The red makes them both adorable I think...so my suggestion is to toss a coin...lol.

Hei!! Det kan se ut som om skuldrene dine er ok igjen, eller klarer du ikke å la være??:-) Det ser veldig fint ut, selvom jeg ikke kjenner tl det redskapet du bruker!? Ha en fin kveld og helg!! AnneK:-)
I really like the non-traditional one. You always put your own flavor to the quilts you make and it makes them very special.
I love the colors you chose. So warm and bright and cheery. Maybe it's because we're covered in ice here.
Make both. One of my friends has the the Go cutter and the baby. Yay. I love having generous friends!
I like the traditional one best!!
I like the first one best. Maybe you regret asking...
Oh, my goodness! You make the most inspirational things, Marit! I LOVE your taste! Twin quilts...nice!
Have to cast a vote here. I always love to play with new ideas, but I'm a sucker for the tried and true on this one. I love the traditional!!
I like them all and am glad to see you have no yellowphobia like me. Thanks for the birthday wishes.
Wow! so many options. I like option #3.
yes i love the traditional in your choice of fabrics, looks gorgeous! but you could make two, i think you will!!!
I have "Go Envy"! I think you have to do both -- they're both cute!
Oooh, I love the tumblers! Is there any difference between 1 and 3? I think those are my favorite!
