wednesday wip

Reconnecting with a wip. I started making Elisabeth's popular Tokyo Map design back in 2010. My squares are bigger than hers, finishing at 2".

The original design has 25 "tiles" of 8 by 8 squares. I am now up to 12.
And I am wondering if I should call it good and turn this 48" by 64" top into a lap quilt...
If I keep going it will be a big, bright wall quilt. Oh, the possibilities...

It's a very intriguing quilt, large or small. Looks fresh and fun.

It's so bright and cheery! This quilt is on my list of things to do. My kids lived in Portland for five years so I was going to change it around and make Portland's light rail system.

I liked this pattern when Elizabeth came out with it and would love to do it someday. Yours is wonderful! Congrats on finishing it!!

oooo, it looks wonderful! i do love 2" finished squares. they are so charming!

if i were you, i think i'd make the quilt just a little bit bigger. (i've made a few that i wish i would have kept going. i never regret erring on the larger size rather than the smaller size...)
