inspired by many pretty quilts using triangles
and also by the idea of cutting into some of my most treasured stash...
cutting the triangles went like a breeze and the layout just happened...
sometimes inspiration hits and it's good to just run with it
I like this kind of puzzle...
and I might have to get a bigger batting / design wall...
not sure how to best sew these 60 degree triangles together, so I please share if you have some good advice...

I think you should sew the triangles together by rows and then sew the rows together.

It's far away from being just "fine". It's gorgeous, wonderful, fabulous,...just fantastic. I LOVE it!

It's just beautiful. When I made a quilt like this, I sewed the eight triangles in each "block" together first, then I sewed the diagonal; rows together. It was very easy.
Oh that is divine Marit. Love the colours and the pattern you are making. When I did 60 degree triangles like that I just sewed them into rows from left to right, then sewed the rows together. It's awesome! xo

wow! that is beautiful! I have no help for you about sewing them together, I'm afraid, but I can't wait to see it finished :-D
my friend has done several 1000 pyramids quilts & her advice is to start by making bigger triangles - sew 4 together into a big triangle. That way you get intersections to help everything line up. (With the bias just sewing rows can quickly get out of control.)
Beautiful! Love your color choices! A 60° triangle quilt has been on my to do list for some time. Did you use Go Baby! to cut the triangles or another method?
