wednesday washday

Spring cleaning, quilter's version:
I am going through my stash and picking out the unwashed pieces. Trying to reorganize the stash at the same time. Mixing most of it by color, only leaving a few collections out. The mixing them up in a new way opens up for new ideas...
; )

Somebody's watching me. She thinks this is soooo boring...

wish you a wonderful wednesday!

Now that's dedication! I never prewash my fabric - hmmm, perhaps I should be doing that but I can't bear the frayed edges - how do you avoid that?

Now that's the sort of laundry that I'd prefer.

Det siste fotoet av pusten sier det meste!
Jeg koser meg med å vaske, stryke og brette stoffene mine. Kreative øyeblikk der jeg har tenkt ut hvilke tepper jeg skal sy.

I've been doing the same -- washing all the unwashed fabrics. But I haven't started on the ironing yet! Then I need to find a better way to organise my stash, and other bits and bobs!

Maybe I am attached to yellow lately, but lovely all your yellow fabric. Do you prefer prewash your fabric before sewing? I did pre-washes when I first started, but living in an apartment space the Laundromat is shared. I stop washing fabric maybe after the first year. What's your new quilt going to be?

*smile* I did start washing my fabrics but then stopped because I didn't like the fraying. What do you do to prevent?
