friday finish (scrap busting IV)

Early morning photo-shoot of my red postage stamps quilt. Have to beat the sun in the race for the display wall at my terrace. This is a small one, just 40" by 50" quilted on leftover quilters dream request batting joint together by  zig zag to a big enough piece. The backing is a lovely sarah jane nautical alphabet print. It inspired me to try free motion letters in the quilting. The rest of the quilting was playful, too. Just rows of scribbling. And a first try at orange peel pattern in the squares (they are 2" cut and 1.5" finished size.  It has been washed and dried, is crinkly and ready to find a new home...

Wish you a lovely weekend! They are forecasting a rainy sunday, here. That might be a good opportunity to keep working on my scrap busting...

I love your scrappy square set off by the red. Your quilting looks great! I always thought orange peel would be difficult. Now I'll have to try it!
