Inspired by Gwen Marston's book Liberated String quilts I put together a quilt top. This is my first attempt working with solids. Her book is full of inspiring quilts and I am sure I'll have to try more of her techniqes.

Ssssh - don't tell Tonya but I prefer Gwen's Liberated Strings to Liberated Quiltmaking.

It looks great - I don't work with solids but love to see these quilts inspired by Marsten's liberated strings.

it's great. I'm itching to get into my solid box myself. I loved Liberated Strings myself, especially all those vintage string tops.
