Making some more of the 1" Heather Ross hexagons. Enjoying and playing with the fun prints.
Not sure how this will end up, yet...
And then some bigger hexagons: 2" this time. I used my charm pack of "1974" by Urban Chicks, and added some more from "Hello Betty" by Cloe's Closet. The 5" charms go well with these 2" paper foundations. Happy to find a good use for some of my charm packs!
Right now I am hand-quilting, using the narrow tape as guidelines for the stitches. This will be a small table-topper.
They are a bit addictive, these hexagons. I found a very good post with lots of resources an tips on how to do hexagons at The Sometimes Crafter's blog. It is well wort a visit!
Have fun sewing...

Aaaww - they are gorgeous!! Your stitches are so tiny - both in the piecing and the quilting. Lovely! The seventies fabrics especially strike a chord with me - being a 70's child after all;) Is that ruler tool behind your beautiful cat something you'd recommend? *hugs*
They are so pretty!!!!!!!!!!
Hei!! AnneK:-)
How pretty, Marit; I love your hand work! I too am curious about the ruler, is that a separate handle you have put on a regular ruler?
Lovely fabric and kitty!
Love your hexagons -- small and smaller. I feel a hexagon project in my future.
I am just now going through the Virtual Quilt Festival comments, and have been having such a great time reading your blog! Love, love the Hex table runner...so cute!
Darling hexes! And, of course, I always love 1974!
Your Hexs are coming out beautiful! I cant believe you are fancy cutting all those patterns!
I love the hexagons! The fabrics are perfect! Everyone's hexagons and use of fabrics are so inspiring to me...I can't wait to have a hexagon quilt of my own.
Lovely fabric and lovely hexagons too Marit. They look like lovely relaxing projects.
You're doing a great job on all your hexes. What tiny ones!! I don't have the patience for that, I'm afraid.
Your kitty is so helpful!....just like mine. ;)
I just learned these. Thanks for the links!
For et flott stoff, herlige farger og så mye fint du lager. God fredagskveld til deg. Turid
