strictly selvage

Another small quilt "pink xoxo" is completed. It's 25" * 34", and made the same way as this one.

I like to play with different color combinations, so when I decided to use my saved selvage strips, I just divided what I had in two groups.

I had a lot of fun making both of these. I am still saving my selvage, aiming for a bigger quilt next time?

Pink and yellow. The quilt and the peony, both! The flower was rescued inside from the wind and rain yesterday afternoon (I know, the calendar says summer...) and rewarded me this morning with a beautiful flower. It is my very first home grown peony ever. Can you tell I'm proud?

So, this pretty flower is a thank you, Karen, for a very sweet post, today, on your lovely Selvage Blog!!! A great place for inspiration!

Congrats on your peony, they can be very shy plants, mine never flowered then one year died altogether :(

Perfect combo with the quilt!!

Hej Marit
Kender du det: jeg ved ikke rigtig om jeg kan lide det jeg ser. Jeg kunne ikke rinde ud af, om jeg kan lide de der tæpper. MEN denne er rigtig flot!!! Smukke farver

Oh my! My first virtual flower and I love peonies. Especially pink and yellow. Thank you. What beautiful photos too. I'll post it on my blog right now.
Your selvage quilts are awesome.

It's hot hot hot here, two hours drive north of New York City. A little TOO much summer I think. Good quilting weather, though.

I love peonies, I don't think they grow where I am, I've not seen them in gardens. I love both your selvage quilts. You have a collection now.

I'm impressed with your selvage collection. I'm saving, and trying to decide what to do with them.
