bargello blues

I have one more friday finish I want to share with you:

my bargello blues measures 60" * 72", is quilted on a long arm with my favorite hobbs thermore polyester batting.

Like the popular scrappy trips around the world this bargello pattern is also a classic design that is freely shared by Bonnie Hunter on her Quiltville webpage. I have made a few of these by now. I like how this pattern is easy to sew but still fun as you get to play with color combinations and contrast.

This one has a special recipient in mind. Sometime later this year.

Wish you all a lovely friday!

Beautiful. There seems to be a lot of designs you can do with the Scrappy Trip. I really like the blue.

Once again, you are a master at pleasing color combinations. This blue quilt is really spiced up by your addition of gold, lime green and purple. I am always amazed at how you do this! Lovely texture from the all-over quilting too!

It's lovely. I love how you've placed the colours - just enough variation in the blues. Someone will be very happy to receive it.

Wow! I've made a few Scrappy Trips myself, but not a bargello version yet. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful variations on either pattern I've seen yet. I may be trying something in a similar combination of colours myself, after seeing yours, and in the bargello style. Lovely!

I've made Bonnie Hunter's bargello quilt scrappy style. I thought about an all blue one and now that I see how beautiful yours is, I will definitely do one. Lovely!
