... so now it's MY time

to host a Go! Baby giveaway!!!

You might remember that I was fortunate to be able to try out this nifty tool, and tell you about it in this post. Now you have a chance to win one of these fabric cutters, 3 dies of your choice and the cutting boards to go with them. Please leave a comment on this post before september 14th and tell me what die and pattern you would like to give a go. It will be shipped to you for free by the lovely team from AqquQuilt, worldwide. So you are ALL invited to play along.

The picture above shows the Go! Baby tumbler die paired up with my 30's stash of mostly green, blue, purple, yellow and blacks.

Last night I washed this summers fabric finds to complement my tumbler wip. After putting these through the Go! Baby they are ready to be mixed in on the design wall. There's also quite a few charm squares already cut and waiting to join the party...

I look forward to mix in more of these blacks and greens...

So, what do you think? Would you like a chance to play? The dies comes in many shapes: including tumblers, half square triangles, hourglass dies, squares and more. Here's a link to free patterns to give you more ideas:

22 Free Patterns - Download Now

I'll draw a lucky winner on sept 14th! Please make sure I'll be able to e-mail you and get your address and choice of 3 dies. If not, I'll have to make a second drawing.

Best of luck!

I've always wanted to make a grandmother's flower garden quilt, but the thought of cutting all those hexagons scares me, so I'd love the hexagon die.

Thanks for the great contest

I would love to start with the tumbler die. I saw a pattern on a blog where a circle (a la dresden) was made and appliqued on. That looked like fun. I'm sure I could come up with 2 other dies I wanted too!

Heather A said...

I read somewhere that a combination of two dies (I can't remember which ones) could be used and the combined pieces are perfect for making flying geese. That's what I would most like to make. A Flying Geese quilt. And circles. I'd love the circles die. I've put off making a circle quilt because the cutting would be so tedious.

Kirsten said...

Oh wow! What a great giveaway! I really want to make a drunkard's path quilt - but the pieces seem very time consuming to cut without a Go! Baby and that is the quilt I will do first if I ever won this wonder machine!

What a wonderful give away! And nice to see you back blogging! To win a Go! Baby must be wonderful. The ideas overflow my head, but I would first try the dies with the Cat and the Bat for this Halloween quilt that is on my wish list for a long time. After that the reindeers to make this Christmas quilt, that would be perfect... And of course a basic: GO! quarter square-4" finished Triangle (8 triangles). And if I´m not the happy winner? Maybe my husband will be so nice to bring me one from the States?

SewWhatsNew said...

This is really nice. I would love to win too. I like the half square triangles, circles, and hexagon dies. Thanks.

Karen said...

Thankyou for the chance to win a Go!Baby. I would love the hexagon, circle and drunkard's path dies- the ones that are fiddly to cut! Karen

nanann said...

I think every time I look at their dies I think I'd choose something different -- totally depends on my mood!

I think today after looking at a wonderful diamond quilt I'd totally go with a diamond die -- I can't imagine trying to cut them out the old fashioned way!

woolywoman said...

Tumblers, for sure. I have tried cutting them with a cardboard template, but it all got too wonky too fast. I give most of my quilts away, so I'd love to make a single tumbler out of each fabric I use and have them as a keepsake. What a fun quilt that would be!

I think the leaves would be fum to play with, and then maybe a 3" circle for yo yo's and dots.... Thanks for hosting a giveaway!
