garden party

It's time for another show and tell:

my garden party quilt finished up at 50" by 72".
It's my last (and final?) triangle 2012 summer stash buster...
Some of you may have noticed the new line Field Study by Anna Maria Horner is out. So glad I have cleared some shelf space...

; )

The back is one of my favorite prints from her Garden Party line. The front has prints from several of her lines. And a checkered print, as well.

Hand quilted again with perle no 16 on thin hobbs thermore polyester batting. Soft, light, easy to stitch...

Lately, I'm drawn to solid bindings. And I'm happy with how this one frames and binds all the colors together.

Sadly the weather is not cooperating with the post title. It has started pouring down rain, and we are expecting some thunder. Oh well, at least it's a nice temperature.

Wish all of you a good weekend!

My hubs actually just walked over to the computer to see what I'm looking at when I said, "It's things like this that make me want to buy fabric!" I love how EVERY ONE of these fabrics looks fabulous together. And your hand-quilting - swoon!

It's a rainy day here too, perfect for quilting. Your work is beautiful. Might I ask where you purchased your perle cotton size #16? Take care, Byrd

Another lovely quilt! It's amazing how each one has it's own personailty but is equally great! Please send your rain this way--we're dealing with smoke from fires! :)

Another triangle beauty! I've so enjoyed watching your series of triangle quilts this summer. They're all beautiful. And I love your hand quilting too.
This quilt will surely remind you of summer during the long, cold winter!

love the colorful triangles. And I like the way you quilted it with diamonds through the middle of the triangles. I've seen hexagons quilted like that ( with hexies) but not diamonds. great idea, cheers, Claire W.

Hei!!
AnneK:-)
